Chris and Shannon Prynoski, owners of Titmouse Animation, have their studio lobby filled with titmouse bird themed paintings and they asked me to do one, so here it is.

Where The Wild Things Are painting

Here's the finished painting. I like the idea of Max's room turning into the forest without him having to go through a door or portal. Here's the "Terrible Yellow Eyes" blog again, Cory Godbey just added a bunch of new work since last time. Justin Gerard's blows me away, I hope he makes a print of it.

Jab Strong Fierce

I finally got a scan of my painting, "18 Years Later", for the "Jab Strong Fierce" show at Gallery Nucleus. What would happen if Guile and Blanka saw each other at a bar today?

Idiot Box at 1988

Almost forgot to mention the "Idiot Box" show at Gallery 1988. This show celebrates guilty pleasure TV shows, not sure if "The Twilight Zone" counts as guilty pleasure but I picked "To Serve Man", one of the best episodes.

The painting got purchased and mentioned by Harry Knowles at Ain't It Cool News, so that's cool.

Snow Paintings

I really like painting snow scenes. I'm pretty sure it goes back to visiting my cousin in snowy Wrightwood, CA when I was a kid, and of course the Hoth scenes from "The Empire Strikes Back."

The Giant's Lair

Here's a new painting for an upcoming show. It's gouache on paper but the tree guy is a piece of cut out paper to make him stand out a bit more.

Monsters Vs. Aliens

Hi, I'm finishing up a painting to post soon but until then I wanted to let you all know that at the beginning of the Super Bowl half-time a commercial for the new movie "Monsters Vs. Aliens" will air. My friend Josh Pruett was a story artist on the movie which is very cool. Like the movie the spot will be in 3-D which you need glasses for, which you can pick up at most grocery stores, which is where you need to go anyway because you are probably out of milk.

Under the Influence: A Tribute to The Beastie Boys

UPDATE! See the show is online here.

This Thursday night "Under the Influence" opens at Gallery 1988, this year we are honoring The Beastie Boys.

"Licensed To Ill" was THE album to have in sixth grade at Benito Juarez Elementary in Anaheim and "Paul Revere" was THE song to have memorized, then why did I pick to paint "Intergalactic"? I don't know.

I'll put up a link to the show when it goes online so you can check check check it out in the comfort of your own home. Oh yeah, I picked "Intergalactic" so I could paint a robot alien.
