Recent Work!

Here are some paintings from recent shows. The first is a small one for the Kansas City Humane Society's "Art Unleashed" silent auction, my friend Jen Rarey helps organize it every year. So much great art is created for it, check some out at the link.

The next two paintings are ones I did for a couple of tribute shows, the "It's A Small World" show at Gallery Nucleus and the Bill Murray themed "Please Post Bills" show at Gallery 1988.

I hope you are all having a good fall season so far.

Some Summer Stuff

Here is some new stuff that I have been working on. The first is a John Muir painting for an upcoming show at the Rivet gallery. All of the paintings will feature the butt kicking ghost, his friends, and enemies.

Next is a wooden bat figure given to me by artist Gary Ham to paint. Gary has been creating awesome custom and vinyl figures for a long time, every year he forms a one-two punch with Scott Tolleson at their Comic Con booth. The bat started out as a blank form, he is painted with cel vinyl and named "Dapper Chiro". Check him out along with all of Gary and Scott's art at Comic Con booth #4836.

The bottom two paintings are quick ent designs I came up with. It's been a while since I've painted any of these guys, at least one will be in an upcoming John Muir painting. Stay tuned!

New Work, Kind Of

It's been another long while since I've posted, and so to avoid making a bunch of individual posts I'm just going to put a bunch of art in one. These are mostly paintings from shows that have happened over the past few months. They include a 'Day of the Dead' show at Subtext Gallery and some shows at Gallery 1988. The 1988 shows are-

"Is This Thing On?" A tribute to comedians, I got Phil Hartman.

"The Road To Shermer" A tribute to John Hughes.

"Crazy 4 Cult" The painting of Danny from "The Shining" will be included in an upcoming book about the Crazy 4 Cult shows coming out this summer.

And the last painting is for the "Harry Potter Tribute Blog" (lots of tributes these days). The blog is in anticipation of a show coming to Gallery Nucleus in July. A cool thing about this one is that anyone can submit artwork to be considered for the blog. So check it out, and get that painting you made of you and Harry getting married out to Nucleus.

Thanks for looking, I hope you all are having a good new year.
